Phil's View of ADK Works
I strongly agree that the best interest and future of the good people in Tupper Lake is at stake. It is ridiculous that one extremist group of persons with such obscured views could have, or continue to hold the growth and well being of any community back for so long. There is no reason why those who so oppose the growth of this area can't take a realistic view, and help to keep the area clean and beautiful in the future with projects that other environmentalist groups do in other parks and even in urban areas. They have lost sight of what is good for the residences and the park itself. Just refocus this energy as an asset to the area.
The improvement of Tupper Lake must go forward for the entire area's livelihood. The decline in the business atmosphere as well as the leaving of the generations of youth from the area must be reversed and bring new hope for quality of life for everyone in the Tupper Lake area. The people of this area are a wonderful resource who care about the quality of life of themselves, their children, their future in the workforce, as well as the quality of living in such a beautiful, clean, and healthy forested lake area. Everyone in Tupper Lake that I've gotten to know only wants the best for the environment of the area, including themselves. This responsible approach must start now. There is no reason why it should not. Every aspect of the development has been through the gauntlet of over site and consideration of every aspect of the project, and not failed to pass, or be addressed so that it will pass scrutiny as a clean and ecological co-existence with the Park, as well as the populace. Tupper Lake IS it's people too!
